National Research
Program (NRP)

What should education in a digital world look like? What are the best tools and their consequences?

The National Research Program Roundtable bets that it can develop a joint proposal for a National Research Program on „Digital Education“ until September 2017, requesting CHF 10 – 20 million funding.

How to best transform education systems in light of digital changes and technologies are questions current research departments cannot answer. Past proposals for digitally themed national research programs have failed due to the lack of joint commitment of relevant institutions, organizations and companies.

The National Research Program intends to join forces in order to finance and carry out research on what tomorrow’s education and formation system could look like. The goal is to enable the effective creation of a convincing proposal thanks to the working group’s strong commitment and large network.

The National Research Program will help Switzerland to find the best way to transform education with an impact on the entire population. At the same time, collaboration will create a network of excellence, empower research institutions and practitioners, and boost Research & Development.
